Robert Blanda

Vice President, Riverview Studios

Robert Blanda, VP, Riverview Studios

We all work together as a team here. It’s not the first time he’s been called a ditch-digger.

Robert wants to live in a world filled with bicycles, jazz fusion, Klipsch speakers and watermelon-flavored seltzer water.

As a marketing and media professional with more than 25 years of experience, he’s worked for IBM, Tandy Corporation, the Philadelphia Streets Department, Beachwood Studios and even several bicycle shops. He is a regular contributor to the Roebling Museum, BikePacking.US and to Florence Township (NJ) for his efforts in promoting bicycle safety and assistance. He even works with the local police department in helping people get their bikes registered and recorded in case of local thefts.
When he’s not creating in Premiere, Photoshop and Dreamweaver, you can find him deep-frying scrapple for his children on a Sunday morning, installing fake grass or building pergolas in his back yard while listening to Chick Corea playing the piano on his outdoor media center (yes, featuring Klipsch speakers.)
Also coined  “The Bird-man,”  Rob has a virtual zoo in his Roebling home featuring six birds, two dogs, two fish, a hamster and a few nomadic, basement-dwelling camel crickets.
We can’t seem to get Rob away from bicycles. During long hot summer weekends, you’ll find him in his Roebling-Based bicycle shop building custom touring bicycles for people who wish to spend months at a time in the saddle, traveling across the country and sometimes the world. Self-supported, extended bicycle touring has been a long passion of his for over a decade – prompting a documentary in progress entitled, “Lost Not Lost – A bicycle touring story” due to be released in late 2018 and being edited right here at Riverview Studios.
We are very proud to have Robert here at Riverview Studios. He’s often the first one in the building and the last one to leave. He claims it’s his second favorite place to be, but refuses to tell us his first. (We think it might have something to do with his better half with blonde hair).
Robert contributes his time at Riverview helping with just about everything that needs to be done, even if it involves a toilet brush.
